great app

Frankly speaking this app is so simple and so powerful, it makes my tasks managment much simpler. I hope they will provide the better method of synchonization between devices, through i cloud! Really worthy to buy!

Simple and Poweful

Great tool to organize stuff In general. I use it every day. Things to Improve: 1. Cloud/Server Sync. Because sync of Things between my iPhone and Mac sometimes inconvininent. 2. Background Sync : really dont like PopUp with sync on iPhone and Mac. 3. Folders of the Projects or something to organizae projects into tree. (GTD says that we should create project for every piece of work that has more than 1 task, but it is very inconvinient to work if there is too many projects and it is inconvinient to organize Next because it is too big list) Thanks.

Great!

Crashes at launch fixed - now I can use Things on my Mac too! Tahnk u, Cultured Code! But I think that Things needs some new cool features, such as: 1. Time to each task (with Push notification) 2. Better daily view (like Forecast in OmniFocus) With this features Things will be the best GTD app in all items.

I apologize for my English. Best planner for personal daily routine. Tags work with projects otsmotren tasks for the day make the program essential for personal use. But please finish three things: 1. Synchronization with the calendar iCalendar. 2. The ability to send the draft by post to the responsible to familiarize themselves with the project and tasks. 3. Synchronization with other users.

Great, but Icloud is not working

Great application, but I have bought it both for my Mac and Ihphone, and I cant sync both of them with my iCloud. Dissapointing!

Best of both worlds

Very simple without the sacrifice of its functions. Great piece of software. Must have for any manager.

Cloud update isn’t working correctly!

I just restored password and turned on cloud update. Then i started application and all my TODOS were gone! AFTER 2 YEARS! I HATE YOU GUYS!

GTD

The best GTD tool.

Too expensive for nicely looking but still basic functionality

The interface is nice, the basic functions work stable, but I feel myself an idiot for money I paid (MacBook, iPhone, iPad). Its quite unpleasant do not get a synchronization with iCal update after update.

Very good, almost perfect

Very good app for orgnizing commitments. Good integration with Vitamin-R, which can be a very good compendium. Although it still has some issues: it crashes when we handle tags and organize them; this bug its really annoying. Syncing between macs is not officially supported, but there is a Dropbox workaround which works very well —geeky stuff. The lack of a "Waiting For" Focus Area is a shame. Users are requesting it since two years. There are workarounds for this feature, but those are all solutions not so neat and simply as a "Waiting For" Focus Area button. It would be great if Teammate feature would be included also on the iOs version of this application. Another idea is to integrate it with a mindmap application. BTW this is an awesome tool to organize commitments and projects.

Why a separate reminders database?

Mac OS already has reminders, other applications, such as MailTags, take advantage of this and add features to the poorly featured default reminders app: I wonder why this app needs a custom and separate database, when it really doesnt add that much. Besides this, the user interface is really good, but the application costs too much. So, think twice before spending the money.

Good but...

The app is really well designed but has some missing features (such as a reminder and the ability to set not only a date but a time too) that are not compatible with the expensive price.

Fantastic app

Things is a fantastic app for my needs. I suggest only to make some updates to arrive to be perfect: 1) Make text format editable (bold, italic, fonts, ecc.) 2) Make color of tags editable With these upgrade in my opinion the app will be perfect!!!!!!! 5 STARS!

This is still the king

My life is full of singular tasks and not multi-step projects. I am presented with “fires” and random tssks throughout the day. Things keeps everything organized. It is simple and complete and works everywhere I need it to. The sync is complete and instant, better than any other cloud syncing out there. I have literally tried every other task manager in the app store and always come back to Things. It is the king and the master of my tasks every day. Thank you for the stability and the “works every time” app that site right on my dock. I use Due if I need an alarm. Things gives me the task list for the day, and I work through it. Tasks that require a time live wither on my calendar or I simply set an alarm with Due.

Simple GTD

I’m constantly seeking the best app to adapt to the light-GTD methodology that I’ve adopted. Over the last few years, I’ve dabbled with Omnifocus (great tool, but too granular for me), TaskPaper (fantastic tool for desktop, but terrible on mobile, and isn’t configured out-of-the-box for GTD), Clear (too simple and not GTD), and many others. At the end of the day, it was the mobile version of Things that completely sold me. I loved the simplicity, the fact that it allowed me to adopt GTD without feeling overwhelmed, and has customization in the right places. I adopted the desktop app after and now am immersed in the Things world of task management. I haven’t tried the Apple Watch app, but it’s nice to know there’s an option. Things Cloud syncs between devices without issue. Searching works well both within the app, and within Spotlight. I’m hoping for constant updates from Cultured Code, as I know Omnifocus is also being kept up to date regularly. The price is a bit steep, but if you’re serious about having a dedicated system for GTD, I believe it’s worth it. There’s free-trial on the Cultured Code website if you’re on the fence.

The best organizer application ever!

I absolutely love things! This app makes my day. It is easy to use and it allows me to store everything (reminders, regularly scheduled appointments, random happenings, assignments), give everything due dates, add notes if I need to, schedule when I would like it to appear in my to-do list for the day and break down/organize the steps required to complete bigger projects (my thesis, research papers, presentations, work projects). I love the interface because it is extremely intuitive which helps me from ever feeling overwhelmed by the sheer number of tasks I need to complete. I feel like I get so much more done when I use this app.

Mr ML

Things works great for daily tasks. The sync feature works flawlessly. I gave 4 stars because only the Mac version has the ability to copy repeating projects (such as packing for a trip). This limits the full usability of the iPhone and iPad versions since I either have to use my Mac for these projects, or type them in all manually on phone or iPad over and over, which is a pain. Please consider adding this feature for all versions!

Review

Great Ap, hands down!! highly recommend it!

I’ve been around the block..

..several times in fact with other GTD apps, ‘to do’ apps, lists, etc., but I keep coming back to Things. Yes, seriously overdue for an update (please!), but still a great product, great design, syncs well, and really does help me get things done,

Pretty good, but not as great as I thought

There are no tutorial videos anywhere on the website. But my biggest complaint is I can’t make a list like this: Item A Item B ItemC It only allows me to make a list like this: Item A, Item B, Item C, That’s not as easy to read. Also, why no nested folders? Are there any? Who knows? The name of the app, “Things” makes it hard to do a Google search for info on the product. Otherwise, it works. But bad name and lack of video tutorials makes it a tough start.
