Absolutely pathetic that they let this become abandonware
I had heard amazing things about Things and I checked it out. Was very impressed by the UI and so I purchased it, at considerable expense, in iPhone, iPad and Mac format. I still think the UI is amazing and if they ever deigned to release a free Cloud Sync feature, I would consider switching back, although at this point the trust is entirely lost. I now use Wunderlist which is completely free and does include Cloud Sync. The fact of the matter is that Things shows every sign of being vapourware/abandonware. Its absolutely deplorable that this company has taken an eternity in software years working on what must be a relatively simple feature (other companies have certainly had no problem implementing it!) CulturedCode has completely let down their loyal user base, and at this point it would be insane to purchase any of their products given their track record. Its unclear at this point whether they will ever release a new version. Not only has the company failed to deliver, they also are failing to be honest with their customers about when this feature will ever be released, if at all. When contacted about a release date, they simply respond, why not try the beta? Given that the beta has been in progress for a year now and, based on recenting Twittering, appears to still have some very major problems – why would anyone waste their time?
