I’ve found it! Notification center

OK, so maybe I’m cracking a nut with a sledgehammer here, but there was a single feature I was looking for in a to-do app and could not find. That is, before Things. I have a lot of deadlines of various kinds, and also love the new notification center of the OS, but hated that the items and their deadlines in Reminder (or other apps I found) would only show up there on the date of the deadline. No. I needed something that could provide an easy access to a list of deadlines — e.g., this paper is due dec. 15, the other one on Jan. 1, etc. Things does this. You can even set *when* you want the items start showing up on your list (that is, how many days before their deadlines).

Besides this, it is of course also a good general to-do app. I’m not a to-do-ist really, I can keep things in mind, *except* deadlines, and for showing them in the sidebar notification center this is great.
