Good for its simplicity

I started using Things as my first todo tracking application. It is very functional for organizing things and getting quick focus on your tasks.

More recently I switched to OmniFocus because the complexity and quantity of the todos I have really requires "sequential projects" (nested todo items). So I am appreciating having the folders and contexts for creating taxonomies of tasks.

However, OmniFocus does not have that plain cut and simple "today" group. Things is quicker to drag the stuff around to get focused. Im still getting into OmniFocus, but it does require more time to set up and maintain your stuff. But again, I really need the nested lists and groupings.

I will continue to use Things for quick todos probably.
